You may need an IP phone to ensure stable and quality IP telephony. Given the fact that the most sold and popular models in Ukraine are Grandstream GXP series, we offer you step-by-step instructions on how to configure these devices.

The following configuration algorithm applies to the Grandstream GXP1610, GXP1620, and GXP1630 models:

  1. Connect your phone to the Internet and plug it into a power socket.
  1. Find the IP address of the handset by pressing the key as in the image.

  1. Type the IP address into the browser bar on your computer and press “Enter”.

IMPORTANT: the telephone set and the computer must be in the same local network to be configured.

  1. Enter login and password (see in the phone manual), select interface language and login.

IMPORTANT: to prevent unauthorized calls from your phone numbers to expensive international destinations, it is strongly recommended to change the standard login and password on the IP phone / VoIP gateway during setup.

  1. Click “Accounts” — “General Settings”, then enter the SIP authorisation data from the provider in the lines as in the image below. Maxnet subscribers receive authorisation data upon connection, and if it is necessary to restore or change them, they should send a request to support@maxnet.ua. Click “Save”.

  1. Staying in the “Accounts” section, go to “Network Settings”. Next, enter the data similar to the image below and then click “Save”.

  1. Staying in the “Accounts” section, go to “SIP Settings” — “Security Settings”. Next, enter the data similar to the image below and then click “Save”.

  1. Also in the router settings for correct operation of SIP-telephony you need to uncheck the “SIP ALG” item.

  1.  After applying these settings, your phone number should register on the Maxnet PBX server. You can check this by going to “Status”. Next “Account Status”, in the “SIP Registration” field, “YES” will be displayed in green.

In case of problems with registration, Maxnet subscribers are advised to contact technical support.
