Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming more and more integrated into our daily lives, making it possible not only to simplify complex tasks, but also to eliminate the need for routine tasks. That's why we've gathered for you 10 examples of practical applications of AI that you might find useful.

  1. Brainstorming

First of all, you can ask AI for help in finding ideas. They can relate to both everyday issues (what to do with your kids, what new TV shows to watch, what to give your friends or family, how to entertain guests at a party, etc.) and work-related issues (develop business ideas, create marketing strategies, generate ideas for startups, etc.). You don't need to rack your brains — the AI receives a clear task from you and in accordance with it offers a list of various options in a few seconds.

Example prompt: “I need help finding ideas for (area or project). In the role of a brainstorming partner, suggest new approaches/prospects for development taking into account (specify context and project constraints)?”.

  1. Creating a variety of lists

Before you pack your suitcase for a trip, join a gym, start a new work project, etc., it is very convenient to ask an AI chatbot to prepare a list of relevant things for you. To do this, you just need to describe to the service in detail the task you need to solve.

Example prompt: “I'm going to go (when) to (specify location) for (specify number of) days for the purpose of (list likely activities). Create a list of things that I will definitely need on my future trip.”

  1. Menu planning

Whether you have specific dietary needs and need to create recipes and shopping lists according to them, or you're trying to cut down on grocery costs, AI-powered apps can help. Describe your dietary restrictions, food benefits, and budget to such online services and ask them to create a personalised meal plan and shopping lists based on it.

Example prompt: “I have an intolerance (to lactose/gluten etc). With this in mind, create a weekly balanced meal plan for me that will not cause digestive issues. I currently have (list foods in my refrigerator). Suggest recipes using the ingredients mentioned”.

  1. Schedule management

AI tools can also make your days more organised. Provide the platform with your to-do list, a basic schedule (working hours, appointments, lunch plans, etc.) and ask it to create a schedule of your typical day. You can always modify your request to ask for more free time or add background tasks to maximise your productivity if needed.

Example prompt: “Create a personalised workday schedule for next week from (specify day of week) to (specify day of week). Add to the schedule time to exercise (morning/afternoon/evening) daily, meet with a client on (specify day of week) at (specify time), and time to rest and read (morning/afternoon/evening)”.

  1. Handling simple correspondence

AI-based online services such as ChatGPT are useful in writing short, simple messages, including for email newsletters. So, if your duties include communicating with clients/partners/colleagues via emails, you can quickly create personalised or template themed messages using this service. As practice shows, a well-designed email subject line can significantly increase the number of messages opened by recipients.

Example prompt: “Suggest email subject line options for a Black Friday sale at an appliance shop”.

  1. Copywriting assistant

If you are professionally engaged in writing texts to promote products or services, AI can become your assistant in this process. It is about creating attractive headlines, slogans and product names, as well as generating ideas for blog and social media posts, etc.

Example prompt: “Create an attractive and persuasive text in the format of (blog article/advertising slogan/lending text, etc.) for my target audience, which consists of (specify). Include in the text information about (specify) and a key message (specify). The desired tone of the text: (formal/friendly/ironic, etc.)”.

  1. Advice on any questions

“What to do if you have a sore throat?” “How to write a CV correctly?” “When is the best time to holiday in Asia?” etc. Ask any question in a chat with the AI and it will quickly give you a detailed answer, thus saving you time.

  1. Personal assistant

Personal assistants with built-in AI such as Siri, Amazon Alexa и Google Assistant integrated into smartphones, smart speakers, and other devices can create reminders, send messages, play music, control devices in a smart home and perform many other tasks. Such an assistant is very convenient to have if you work as a lawyer, psychologist, coach, etc.

Example prompt: “I work for (specify by whom). Create a task list for me for the next week. Include (list specific tasks) on the list, indicate the due date for each task, and mark the most important ones with an asterisk”.

  1. Preparing for the interview

Since communicating with HR professionals requires practice, it can be difficult for an unprepared person to pass an interview and get an offer the first time. In such cases, AI can come in handy for new job seekers, helping them prepare for interviews. Although the service is not a real person, it can act as a so-called “simulator” on which you can hone your communication habits.

Example prompt: “I am preparing for an interview for the position of (specify) in a company that specialises in (specify field). I have (specify number) years of experience in this industry, and my main habits and competencies include (list). What questions might I be asked and how can I best answer them?”

  1. Analysing the data and summarising the results

As you may have noticed, most of today's podcasts or YouTube videos last more than an hour or even several hours. Therefore, even when watching such content at 2X speed, a lot of time is wasted.

In such cases, a convenient solution is to get information in the form of summaries, which an AI chatbot can help you with. To save yourself time, simply ask it to prepare a concise summary of the content for you. And the included timestamps will allow you to jump to specific points to listen to particularly interesting passages.

Example prompt: “Analyse data on (website visits/social media/sales/customer feedback) with the aim of (specify). I have data in (specify) format and am interested in (specify specific questions or metrics). Help me analyse this data and provide conclusions and recommendations”.

As you can see, there are a lot of options and areas where artificial intelligence is used. If you want to optimise your time management, choose among the methods discussed above those that may be useful to you and try to use them in practice.
